Michelin Bib Gourmand Social Enterprise
Flavors from Afar is a Social Enterprise of the Tiyya Foundation
Now open for weekday lunches and weekend dinners!
Flavors From Afar began with a desire to share rare and distinctive global cuisines, dishes that are often hard to experience outside their home countries. Over the years, it has evolved into a for-profit social enterprise of the Tiyya Foundation, an extension of our nonprofit work that provides support and resources to refugees, asylum seekers, immigrants, and displaced families.
Today, our East Hollywood space serves as both a restaurant and a community hub. On weekdays, we offer a global lunch menu with complimentary coworking; order from the menu and enjoy our bright, sunlit workspace with free WiFi for as long as you wish. On Friday and Saturday evenings, Navajo and Apache Chef Louie Chavez leads our year-round Native American dinner, rooted in ancestral foodways and Indigenous ingredients.
Whether you visit for lunch, settle in to work, or explore Indigenous cuisine at dinner, Flavors From Afar remains a place where culture, comfort, and community meet. We also offer full-service catering and pre-ticketed experiential dinners on OpenTable.
