We met Amanda last May. She came to Tiyya's office with a group of friends from the Rockharbor Church to learn more about how she could support local refugees. Since then, Amanda has been involved with Tiyya in various ways - as an intern advocating for families in our programs, as the head coordinator of Tiyya's ever-growing Diaper Program, as a coordinator of our annual Back to School Celebration guaranteeing school supplies to over 350 refugee youth, serving on the Monster Cup Soccer Committee, and much more.

As a recent graduate from New York, Amanda strives to learn more about the conflicts that uproot people and the resources available to support them. Coming from a family of immigrants herself - she was eager to provide immediate assistance to families in transition. After spending six months and providing invaluable support to Tiyya's staff and the families enrolled in our programs, Amanda will be now traveling to Greece. Here, her role will be to support the most vulnerable people within camps and spread her kindness and support from Orange County to Greece.

Please send well wishes Amanda's way! We're eager to welcome her back to OC in a few months and look forward to having her continue to be a Friend of Tiyya.
