Jasmine Afshar holds a Masters of Arts Degress in Peace and Justice Studies from the University of San Diego. She is currently an MBA student at the University of Kentucky. After returning from volunteering with refugees in Greece, Jasmine worked as a Case Manager at The Tiyya Foundation. Shortly after, she was the first Development Coordinator for the organization. Jasmine credits her work with Tiyya and her family history of resettlement from Afghanistan as the foundation for her commitment to supporting diverse communities affected by displacement.

Where she hopes to be in the next few years: In the next few years, Jasmine plans to stay connected to the Tiyya community as an Adviser and Ambassador. She also aims to advance social enterprises and small businesses created by refugee families.
